Bank of Mum and Dad - The 10 Minute Musical

I have the pleasure of announcing that this coming Tuesday 2nd October 2018 my brand new ten minute musical entitled ‘The Bank Of Mum And Dad’ is to be performed at Queens Theatre Hornchurch in connection with Leeway Productions.

Leeway Productions are also bringing four of their own 10 minute musicals to be performed so it should be a really diverse and interesting night of new musical theatre.

I was paired with writer Andy Shore to write this new piece and we’ve only had three weeks to write it so I do hope you’ll come along and support work that is so brand new the ink is barely dry.

Tickets are available here.

Feel free to enjoy this humourous video of Andy and I talking about the project.

Hope you can come along!

September 2018 Update

The gloriously sunny Summer is starting to drift away into Autumn, it’s already getting colder and I’ve already put my electric blanket on once (yes, I should man up).

There is lots and lots of exciting things coming up and there’s been some fantastic things occurring over the Summer so here’s a little rundown of some of the adventures!

The big band had an absolutely stonking gig at the Belvedere Jazz and Music Club on August 26th. It was sold out and packed and we smashed out Count Basie’s ‘Atomic Mr Basie’ album like absolute bosses, even if I do say so myself. Mark Stratford was our guest singer in fantastic voice and it was a pleasure to get out some of the original tunes from our album ‘Weapons of Mass Distraction’ too. No one had noticed until pointed out at this gig that the album titles of Count Basie and my own are linked in their own sort of way, what better way to homage to one of the greatest big band leaders ever!

You can see clearly what a glorious time we had!

My quartet has also had an outing too with more coming up in November (see gig list below) and it was fantastic to have the wonderful Rob Brockway from our first album back with us after a lengthy leave of absence! We love Rob - he even has
a birthday gig at the Vortex on Wednesday 12th September - be there!

It does look like we had a marvellous time indeed!

So what is coming up>?

Tuesday 2nd October will see the premier of my new 10 Minute Musical in conjunction with Leeway Productions and Queens Theatre Hornchurch and I think even NT Wales - more details on this to follow as this evening I myself find out more about it and have three weeks to work with writer Andy Shore to create a new piece of 10 minute musical - how exciting!

Wednesday 3rd October - Urban Big Band @ Pinner Jazz Big Band Club

Tuesday 20th November will see the premier of a new piece I am working on with Local Girl Productions called ’Standing On Their Shoulders’ - more info on this to follow too, but it will be at the Queens Theatre following their highly successful ‘Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler’ in March of this year.

Thursday 22nd November - Singing In The Corner is back at the Queens where I sight read random music bought in by the general public so they can sing... how wonderful!

Thursday 29th November - Andrew Linham Quartet @ Queens Theatre on Thursday 29th November with guest trumpeter Sam Warner which is going to be absolutely fabulous!

The Big Band are ready for our extra special Christ-Mess outing!

Vortex on Saturday 16th December 2018 for our ‘Christ-Mess’ Extravaganza.

Get your tickets for that now by clicking the above link. There may even be free eggnog!

So pumped for that - I’ve been working on deconstructing Christmas music for much of the Summer - perfect job for the sunny days we had!

Also, I’m currently working with a gospelly motown band called ECHO - see their poster below by clicking the link!

There’s probably more that I’ve missed but here’s a brief lowdown of what’s going on - more information of course to be added soon!

If you’ve been enjoying my updates don’t hesitate to Contact Me - always good to know if anyone actually reads about my exploits (or to point out grammatical or spelling errors!)

Love to all!
