Pyrrhic Victory on BBC Radio 2!

I am SO excited to tell you all that last night the Andrew Linham Jazz Orchestra were played on Clare Teal’s ‘Remember, Remember’ programme on Radio 2 which you can listen to on the link below. We can be heard about 1:20mins into the 2hr show and Clare said in response to having heard the track:

Aside of the big band launching the album I have been involved with some fantastic performances in the last month with the London City Big Band, the Diamond Skyline Orchestra, the Ken Turner Big Band, the John Bennett Big Band Blitz, Trinity 250, Urban Big Band and ECHO. Ranging from early 20’s big band to original gospel artists as well as several straight ahead big bands often with singers, it has been a busy few weeks indeed! So much big band music!

I’ve also just finished another project with the Primary Steps programme of the
Royal Ballet School and with Havering Music School was involved with bringing the Coldstream Guards to Havering, evidence of which can be seen on Twitter! It has been lovely to work on some community outreach and schools projects such as these as we must keep music, particularly in Havering, alive!
